The Vanbar Motto

My sole purpose with Vanbar is to honor my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by honoring him with the gifts and talents He has given me to serve you! My approach to wellness is based on principles straight from the Word, the Bible. 

I bring you to wholeness by connecting your spirit, soul, and body by strengthening your spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical fitness. 

​Life is filled with so many challenges and trying to balance work, our family, and social life can cause many emotions such as stress, worry, and anxiety. 

That happens when our spirit (heart, inner being), soul (mind, will & emotions), and body (physical) are not in tune. They aren't separate components. In order to have a balanced life and have joy, peace, and a sound mind, our spirit, soul, and body need to be connected. 

At Vanbar Fitness, my goal is to help you reach your fitness goals and ensure that you feel greater, look greater, and be greater.

I connect fitness (your body) and wellness (spirit, and soul) so that together we eliminate the stress, worry, and anxiety from your life. This is done through creating a specialized program tailored to your needs. We'll focus on your exercise, what and how you're eating, and what and how you're thinking. With my many different resources, you can rest be assured that you'll be able to achieve the best version of yourself.

Your Journey

I've been where you are. Not feeling confident in who I was or knowing exactly what my purpose is. That effected my fitness and wellness. I'm blessed that God showed it to me earlier on while I was in college how to improve my fitness and wellness so I can do what he's called me to do and be a better version of myself daily. 

And that's the key. Not to strive for perfection, because we all fall short. It is to strive for excellence. To make an effort, with Jesus on our side, to be better each day. 

He wants us to thrive and prosper in all areas of our lives. To do that, our spirit, soul, and body must be on the same accord. 

I'll help you in doing that and to Be Greater! Because we're suppose to be.

Your Fitness Coach

I am your fitness coach Vandie Barnard. Want to know a little bit about me? Of course you do, that's why you're here. 

I fell in love with fitness during my undergrad at George Mason University. I began helping a couple friends with their workouts and they suggested I become a Personal Trainer. After looking into it, I decided to give it a try. That decision became one of the best choices of my life. Every day, I was having an impact on people's lives not only physically, but spiritually, emotionally, and mentally as well.

I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for gifting me with my talents and abilities to be able to do what I love and bless others. 

I am a certified Personal Trainer through AFPA and a certified Yoga Instructor through NCCPT. 

I have been training and coaching since 2012.  

My goal is to help you reach your greatness through achieving your maximum Spiritual, Emotional, Mental, and Physical Fitness.
