Today, let's talk about something we all have made at one time or another, excuses! You know what, I think it's time we rid ourselves of them. Let's dive in a little more in the latest vlog.
Let me ask this question? Do you like, you? Are you happy with who you are? Are you content with your strengths and weaknesses? With your perks and quirks? Things that get you going in the morning and the things people may find weird about you?
Or are you trying to portray something or someone you’re not? Are you trying to build yourself in the image of what you see on TV or online?
Our answer to this question says a lot about our intentions in life.
If we fall into category 2, the one where we are trying to be like someone, or something else, or please someone else, we’re heading down an unstable slope that will cause plenty of problems (or may already have). If we are in this section, we spend our time trying to please others more than ourselves.
That never ends well because a lot of times people are never satisfied with what you do for them and always want more. So when you try to please them, you only end up hurting yourself because what you do is never enough.
Then when we waste time trying to live up to something or someone we see, we only disappoint ourselves because we never end up fulfilling that image we try to obtain.
That my friend, is pointless. You’re chasing wind and trying to catch something that isn’t there.
You are unique. You’ve been made that way. No two people are exactly alike. They may look alike, but their traits, their characteristics, their mannerisms are different.
You have been created special….so be special! Stop trying to waste your time chasing after someone you see on social media.
When we exercise, we should do it for ourselves. Don’t workout for someone else’s benefit. Do it for you. Workout because you want to feel good about yourself. Workout because you want to be healthy. Workout because you want to have more energy. Don’t workout because you want to look like some fitness model from a magazine or that actor/actress you see on TV.
Workout for you. Who you have been created to be, keep it that way. Be unique. Be special. Be different.
